Welcome to the online home of Soquel Dobermans
We have been breeding Dobermans since 1974. We have always strived to breed healthy, sound Dobermans that conform to the Doberman Pinscher Standard developed by the Doberman Pinscher Club of America. Our puppies are raised in our home, and are always from health-tested Champion sires and dams.
We live on 3 acres, in North Monterey county, half way between Monterey and Santa Cruz, in Central California. Our family consists of my husband, my 10 year old son, two cats, our own companion family Dobermans, and a very bossy Chihuahua. So our puppies are used to being around different types of pets, being in different situations and interacting with a 10 year old boy! We travel to dog shows almost every weekend, and bring the puppies with us when they are old enough, so they get plenty of socialization as well as one-on-one interaction. I personally evaluate every one of our Doberman Pinscher puppies in terms of how they deal with different situations and through talking with each prospective family, so that I can figure out which puppy would fit right in your home.
I am also a conformation instructor at Monterey Bay Dog Training Club, and would be happy to help you with learning how to show your own dog in the conformation ring, or in getting started in their obedience classes. We are fully integrated in the conformation, obedience, agility, rally and therapy circles and can assist you in becoming involved in any of those venues.
Many of our dogs have become American Kennel Club Champions, AKC Top Twenty Conformation winners, Group winners, Best In Show winners, AKC Doberman Pinscher Sire of the Year award winner Obedience Trial Champions, Agility champions, and Certified Therapy Dogs. Of course, all of them are especially devoted and much loved family companion dogs.
We are long-standing members of the Redwood Empire Doberman Pinscher Club, and the Doberman Pinscher Club of America. Being located in Central California, we exhibit our dogs at all of the shows in Northern, Central and Southern California.
We do not breed a lot, and if we don’t have a puppy that fits in your home, then we can recommend to other ethical breeders from whom you may obtain puppy.
If you are interested in an older dog, we can help you locate one, whether you are interested in a rescue dog or an older show dog that has been retired. We believe that there is a home for every dog and a dog for every home.
If you have any questions about Dobermans, don’t hesitate to ask, we are here to help you. We love Dobermans and will do anything for them and their owners.
